Our Hong Kong Disneyland Experience
Monday, March 27, 2017
The fourth and fifth day of our HK trip were the most memorable. Because these 2 days I really planned: Explore Hong Kong Disneyland and then stay at one of the resort's hotels! And I think I was more excited than my son and nephews. Don't blame me, I've dreamt of going to Disneyland since my 7th birthday. But universe granted my wish on my 34th year and nope I'm not complaining, obviously just grateful! I have waited a long time so you could just imagine how I giggled when I rode that Disney Train! So here is my Hong Kong Disneyland review, I hope you can learn a thing or two if you plan on traveling to this place.
First of all, I would like to recommend AsiaTravel.com for Hong Kong Disneyland package that we got from them. The Hong Kong Disneyland ticket price was discounted and it was certainly a good deal. Aside from that, a customer support emailed us regarding our ticket and asking if we have any question. What a nice customer service!
The Hong Kong Disneyland Resort is massive. I can't describe everything in detail so maybe pictures will do. I have so many pictures I want to upload but I'll just limit to the good ones that really makes me happy whenever I look at them again. Firstly, the Disney train. This train will take you to the theme park and it is directly connected to the Hong Kong MTR. So, we rode the MTR with all our bags after checking out at our hotel. We also booked a night at their Disney Hollywood Hotel. As I've said the resort is so huge we need to ride a bus going to the hotel. We left our baggage at the hotel because the check in is at 3 PM and they don't allow early check in. There is a room beside the hotel's entrance where you can leave your bags and just have them labeled by the receptionist. We also left our bags the next day, after we checked out because our flight was still at 7 PM. No fee at all. How I wish all hotels have the same accommodation.
Warning: Too much photos below hahaha!
You just have to wait for your turn to have a photo of yourself at this spot below. Lots of people want to take pictures here but everybody's ok taking turns.
There are buses which can take you to your respective hotels. Just a mere 3-4minute ride from the theme park. We also had a photo op at the hotel's entrance hehehehe.
When we got back to the theme park, we were already starving. So the first thing to do was, of course, eat! We ate only at Starliner because this one is the nearest to the resort's entrance. I forgot to take note of the price but if I am not mistaken, for the 2piece chicken meal with drink the price was around HKD 100. We did not explore other restaurants or cafe around the park because my dad just wants to stay in Starliner. He's just too tired to walk around Disneyland and during our visit it was scorching hot so he stayed in the restaurant the whole day.
When we entered the park, we were so glad to see that they've already decorated the whole place with Christmas decors. It was the first day of their Christmas season and the place was absolutely awesome!
The rides were awesome as well.
I especially loved the Toy Story theme:
Don't forget to watch the parade!
All photos were taken using iphone 5s and iphone 6 plus so the resolution were not so good in the night time. I was not able to take a good picture of the fireworks but I really suggest for you to wait until the fireworks display is done because its amazing and you can really feel you are at the happiest place on earth! Tip: During Christmas season, snow falls in Disneyland Main Street. Its not real but it still gave me that "snowy Christmas" feeling.
Of course, nothing beats the view of the theme park at night time.
I left the park with my heart full. I'll be back Disneyland! No age will ever stop me from visiting you!
I miss this place. Stay positive and pass it on.
