Review: Escala Tagaytay
Monday, June 05, 2017In the Philippines, summertime is the best time to bond with family. And I am thankful that summertime is like year-round for our country. To add to that, the heat of the summer can be felt all throughout the Philippines. And to prove that, we have decided to pay a visit to Tagaytay - where its a little bit cold compared to other places here in PH - and go for a swim! We found one of many Tagaytay hotels with a pool that is fairly new and we got hooked on by the pictures of their infinity pool. So, my sister and I decided to bring the kids before the start of the school year to give them their last hurrah for this summer! And we were happy we did book this hotel: Escala Tagaytay Hotel

kinda gloomy when we arrived. |
The free mini bar was composed of four canned softdrinks and three packs of mixed nuts. I forgot to take a picture of it though. After scanning the whole room, we took a little nap and then the fun times begun! Swimming!
View from the lobby. |
Lovin' the shade of the building so sun's not directly on us. |
The pool is 5 ft deep but there's a small pool for the kids which I think is only 3 ft deep. |
Pool is big and nice, but would be nicer if heated :) |
Me at the entrance. Above are clocks showing the time in different countries. |
As you can see the lobby is very open so the wind is just casually entering the hall, no need for an AC or electric fan in this hotel's lobby.
In the morning, we were greeted by the warm breeze of Tagaytay. Their buffet breakfast was located in their lobby overlooking Taal volcano. I loved sipping my coffee with this view!
Jayson was still in the room during this time. |
Cereals and milk! |
I loved the breakfast buffet. There is a variety to choose from - breads and spreads, eggs, ham, Filipino breakfast, rice, fruits, cereals, omelet, noodles, soup, salads, coffee, juices etc. After breakfast, we went for a swim again until 11 AM and checked out at noon.
If you want a relaxing Tagaytay escape, I highly recommend the Escala Tagaytay Hotel. We had a nice time and it truly felt like home away from home.

I'm having fun reading your blog, in regards to your room deluxe room, how many person it will accommodate? As per checking on your pictures you've posted,7 pax kayo. Are they strict kung ilan tao per room? thanks.
ReplyDeleteHi Jecelle! We booked 2 rooms kasi. Pero parang hindi naman sila strict sa pagcount kung sino at ilan ang tao per room. The room can accommodate 3 adults lang din plus a child, kasi yung deluxe room has 1 queen bed and 1 single bed. kaya pag-4 adult medyo siksikan na. hope this helps!
DeleteHi Ma'am just wondering how was the road going to Escala? Steep ba sya like masyadong uphill? Also, same question with their parking lot. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteHi! medyo paakyat nga yung daan pero hindi naman sobrang steep. very easy naman to drive. the parking lot was spacious but there was no roof during the time we went there. I hope they provide roof already. hope this helps!
